Fall Sports Season Comes to an End


As the first week of November comes to an end, so does the fall sports season for schools in the CMAC. This fall, the CMAC witnessed teams compete at a high level in girl's volleyball, boy's soccer, and football. Each student athlete in their respective sport showcased their abilities on and off the field while representing each of their high schools in the highest form and fashion.



Hughes High School and Shroder High School finished the regular season tied for the CMAC lead in varsity volleyball. Both teams finished with a conference record of 8-2 and have been announced co-CMAC champs!

Hughes, Shroder, and Woodward all sent varsity teams to compete in the OHSAA state tournament!


Taft High School finished the season at a mark of 8-3, including running the table in the SOPL American division at 6-0 to take first place. Belmont won the SOPL National division with a 5-0 record against division opponents.

Taft went on to compete in the division IV playoffs again and their program, paired with their student athletes, continue to make great strides in establishing themselves as a team to consistently watch out for in regards to Cincinnati's top teams.

Aiken High School finished the regular season with a record of 7-3 and made their high school's first ever OHSAA state playoff appearance! The Falcons played tough throughout the entire season and will look to make noise next year as they plan on continuing with their success!


Western Hills High School boy's soccer team had a fantastic season and also qualified for the state playoffs. They finished their season with a record of 5-3-1 and will continue making tremendous strides this off season as they prepare to come back even stronger in the fall of 2017!
