Cincinnati Public schools recently held a free youth lacrosse clinic for boys and girls in grades 1-8. Lacrosse is a growing sport nation wide and the CPS district is interested in expanding the interest in inner-city areas. Dick's Sporting Goods made a generous contribution to the event by sponsoring and supplying equipment which included balls, sticks, and nets. Nearly 90 kids from various elementary schools attended the instructional clinic which was instructed by the varsity lacrosse coaches from Walnut Hills High School.

After the clinic, Dick's Sporting Goods also provided a lacrosse-themed movie presentation that the kids watched while enjoying complimentary popcorn as well. The afternoon proved to be a a great foundation for the sport in CPS and athletics manager Josh Hardin and his staff will continue their efforts to grow the sport starting with interest from elementary students.
