CMAC Boy's Basketball Game of the Week! (1/27/2017)

Two CMAC power houses will collide in this week's CMAC Game of the Week as the Taft Senators will battle it out with the Woodward Bulldogs this Friday night at Woodward High School.

Taft (13-1, 5-1) is coming off a huge win against Aiken in which the team displayed how balanced they really are. With multiple players in the CMAC top 5 for assists, rebounds, blocks, and steals, Coach Demarco Bradley Sr. will expect his #1 ranked team in Cincinnati Division 2 to continue playing well as each game becomes vitally important down the stretch of the season. Malek Green and Vergil Lackey both come into the game averaging double-doubles and they will both need to be leaders on Friday night against a hungry Woodward team.

Woodward (10-5, 3-3) heads into Friday night in need of a big win to stay in the hunt for the CMAC title. Led by senior guard, Will Coker (19.8 PPG), the Bulldogs have quietly had a successful season to this point. Similar to Taft, Woodward has a player in the CMAC top 5 for points, assists, rebounds, blocks, and steals per game which speaks to how balanced and experienced their team is. Last time these teams played, Terry Durham (JR) recorded a double-double and was the only Bulldog able to find the bucket consistently as Taft won by a 19 point margin. Look for a very competitive game this week as both teams have been on top of their game lately!

Head out to Woodward High School on Friday night at 7:30 pm! @CMAC_sports will be live tweeting and broadcasting the game live on Periscope!
