10/22/2018

Can you believe we've already hit week ten for Ohio High School Football?! The CMAC has a variety of headlines on the way into the conclusion of the regular season...

Aiken - Coming off a convincing win on senior night against Hughes, the Falcons will look to secure a share of the CMAC title as well as a playoff berth with a win against Taft. Aiken is one of a small group of teams that control their own destiny in regards to playoff alignment. We'll see if they can SWOOP in and steal a spot as well as win the CMAC Championship in the final regular season game to be played at current Stargel Stadium.

Taft - The Senators were tested early at Woodward this past week but broke away in the final frame, securing at least a share of the CMAC title in addition to clinching the Region 16 playoffs. Taft is now competing for a home playoff game as they'll honor their seniors in the final regular season game at Stargel. It's also worth noting that the current senior class hasn't lost a CMAC football game since they reached 7th grade! Expect a packed house and close game with a tough Aiken team.

Western Hills - The Mustangs will face Little Miami in their 2018 finale, coming off a strong showing in a 32-0 shut out against Shroder. West High officially cliched their first winning season since 2013 and will look to complete a miraculous season with a road victory. Something to look out for - if Aiken can beat Taft on Friday, we will see a 3-way tie for the CMAC title in Aiken, Taft and Western Hills.
