Aiken Cross Country Goes the Extra Mile

Aiken's Cross Country team knows hard work.  Cross Country is a sport where there are no time-outs or substitutions.  Courses change from week to week with each 5K (3.1 miles) having different terrain.  Weather changes during the season from hot to cold, sun to rain or snow and these runners see it all and train for every kind of condition.  When the gun goes off at the start of the race and the clock begins to tick, these runners race each other and against the clock, hoping to shave time off and set a new PR while placing well to help their team score.  Come cheer on Aiken XC at the Seven Hills Invitation on September 21st at 8:00 AM.
